Edward Marvin Page, Sr., a lifelong Ridgeway resident, served as mayor of the Town of Ridgeway for 24 years from 1990 to 2014 and passed away on July 9, 2025

Graduated from the University of South Carolina and served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War

Worked 35 years at Dupont, later at Invista, and assisted his wife Shirley at Ridgeway Signs; was a life member of Piedmont Masonic Lodge #152

As mayor, secured funding for critical infrastructure including the Main Street bridge replacement and administered state and federal grants for housing, emergency services, and community needs

Survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley, and sons Edward Jr. and Anthony; the House of Delegates directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to his family
