Charles Ray Obaugh, Jr., founder of Charlie Obaugh Auto Group in Staunton, Virginia, died on September 30, 2025, and is honored through this House Resolution introduced by Delegate McLaughlin

Obaugh was a Staunton native, Wilson Memorial High School graduate, Eagle Scout, College of William & Mary alumnus, and United States Air Force veteran

Founded Charlie Obaugh Pontiac Buick GMC in 1975 after working at Hays Chevrolet and Obaugh Ford, later expanding with his son Eric into a multi-dealership auto group

Named TIME Quality Dealer of the Year for Virginia in 2008 in recognition of his professional achievements

Volunteered with Augusta Regional SPCA, Boys & Girls Club of Waynesboro, Staunton, and Augusta County, and the 4H/FFA Market Animal Show and Sale
