Manchester Middle School cheer squad from Chesterfield County earned second place in the intermediate division of the Chesterfield County Public Schools cheer competition

The team placed in the county middle school cheer competition for the first time since 2003, finishing as runner-up out of seven teams

The squad developed their own choreography and created their own music with limited prior cheer training over three seasons of program development

The 17-member team secured funding through student and coach-led fundraising efforts and a grant obtained by the principal for uniforms, poms, and training

The House of Delegates directs the Clerk to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to the team
