Bruton High School girls' swim and dive team won their fifth consecutive Virginia High School League Class 1/2 state championship on February 18, 2026

The team from York County defeated athletes from 27 other teams and won by a wide margin at the state championship meet

Over the past five seasons, team members have broken nine team records and two state records

The House of Delegates formally commends the team and directs the Clerk to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to the team
