Albert S. Moor II retired as city manager of Suffolk, Virginia on August 1, 2025, after a 40-year career in local government

Moor began his career in Norfolk, joined Suffolk as director of public utilities in 1995, and was appointed city manager on May 19, 2021

During his tenure, he oversaw major infrastructure projects including Route 58/Holland Road Corridor improvements and the Nansemond Parkway/Wilroy Road railway overpass

He developed strategic plans for land use, development, utilities, transportation, and capital improvement during periods of significant city growth

The House of Delegates directs the Clerk to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to Moor in recognition of his service
