Recognizes that many schools, particularly in underserved rural areas, lack resources for sustained psychological support after crises, and that local counselors may themselves be affected by traumatic events

Notes the SREB Crisis Recovery Support Network will train and deploy specialized counselors across the 16-state southern region to provide ongoing mental health services to students, teachers, and staff

Directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to transmit a copy of the resolution to the Southern Regional Education Board for distribution to constituents
