Recognizes Augusta County's military tradition dating back to colonial militia units formed in the mid-18th century to defend Shenandoah Valley settlers

Honors service in major conflicts including the American Revolution, World War I, World War II (notably the 116th Infantry Regiment's D-Day landing at Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944), Korea, Vietnam, and the Global War on Terror

Acknowledges the Augusta County Military Memorial being established to honor more than 4,000 veterans from Augusta County, Staunton, and Waynesboro who gave their lives in service

Directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to Augusta County veterans
