Bruton High School boys' indoor track and field team won the Virginia High School League Class 2 state championship in March 2026 at Liberty University, finishing with 80 points to defeat second-place Stuarts Draft by four points

Victory marks the team's third consecutive state championship and fourth title in five years, having defeated 32 other teams from across Virginia

Individual state champions included Johnie Askew in the 55-meter dash (6.56 seconds), Quinn Marcinek in the 55-meter hurdles (7.65 seconds), and Jayden Curry in both the 1,600-meter run (4:20.63) and high jump (6-2)

The 4x400-meter relay team of Jordan Bridges, Quinn Marcinek, Nathan Guerreiro, and Josiah Gallegos secured runner-up honors in 3:38.33 to clinch the championship

Resolution directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to present a copy to the team in recognition of their achievements
