Honors Solomon Wilder Jefferson, Ed.D., an educator and education administrator from the Richmond community who passed away on November 24, 2025

Jefferson served as principal of Douglas Wilder Middle School in Henrico County and as chief academic officer for secondary education with Richmond Public Schools

Career included service as a Teach for America Corps member, mentor with Athletes for Jesus, and education leader in Henderson (NC), New York City, and Atlanta

Earned degrees from Radford University, Mercer University, and Georgia State University, and was completing a doctorate at Purdue Global University at the time of his death

Directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to present a copy of the resolution to Jefferson's family
