Commends Shiloh Baptist Church in Lorton, Virginia, for more than 155 years of service to the community through spiritual guidance, worship, and charitable outreach

Church was founded in 1869 on land set aside at Gunston Hall plantation by Edward Daniels, a Union Army colonel and abolitionist who had purchased the estate from George Mason's descendants

After the original log cabin church burned down, trustees acquired land near Gunston Hall in 1879 to build a new church and cemetery, with expansions including a steeple in 1925 and new sanctuary in the mid-1980s

Seventeen pastors and three interim pastors have led the congregation, including Reverend Dr. Luther M. Bailey (retired July 2022 after 20 years) and current pastor Reverend John H. Mitchell, Jr.

Directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to the church
