Commends John W. "Billy" Haun, Ed.D., on his retirement effective July 1, 2025, after 45 years of service in education as a teacher, coach, and administrator

Haun served as executive director of the Virginia High School League (VHSL) from July 1, 2016, until retirement, overseeing interscholastic athletic competition for more than 170,000 students annually

Prior roles included assistant superintendent for student learning at Albemarle County Public Schools (2009) and chief academic officer/assistant superintendent for instruction at the Virginia Department of Education (2014)

Haun earned his bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech (1980), master's degree from Shenandoah University (1997), and Ed.D. from the University of Virginia (2011)

Directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to Dr. Haun
