Married Lloyd Linwood Perry in 1956 and raised three daughters: Robena LaFern, Patricia Lynn, and Victoria LaMone

Worked at Siegel's supermarket, Miller Manufacturing, and retired from Honeywell after 28 years of service, then served as a security officer at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts for five years

Active member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church for 55 years, serving as deaconess, church clerk, and participating in multiple ministries
