Deborah R. Jackson, a Northern Virginia educator and community volunteer, passed away on December 24, 2025, and is honored by this House Resolution introduced by Delegate Sullivan

Earned degrees from Frostburg State University, Southeastern University, and a doctorate from Virginia Tech; worked at Gallaudet University and Fairfax County Public Schools as a teacher and administrator before retiring in 2016 as assistant director for curriculum development

Served in leadership roles across multiple organizations including McLean Rotary Club chapter president (2019-2020), Learning Forward International board president, and over 50 years as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Active in faith communities at First Baptist Church of Marshall Heights for 30 years and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where she served on the Mount Pleasant Academy Board

Resolution directs the Clerk of the House of Delegates to present a copy to her surviving family, including husband Henry and children Kelley, Justin, and Brandon
