House Resolution commending Area Congregations Together in Service (ACTS) on its 20th anniversary, with a celebration event scheduled for April 16, 2026

ACTS was founded in 2003 by five Richmond-area churches and formally incorporated as a nonprofit in 2006 to prevent homelessness through financial assistance and case management

The organization has grown to include more than 60 interfaith partners and community/corporate foundations, distributing hundreds of thousands of dollars in assistance

During the COVID-19 pandemic, ACTS administered more than $25 million in rent and mortgage relief as the designated local entity for pandemic assistance

Since 2018, ACTS has operated the Homeless Connection Line in partnership with the Greater Richmond Continuum of Care, serving as the primary access point for homeless services in the region
