Virginia House Resolution commending the New River Valley Agency on Aging on its 50th anniversary in 2025, recognizing its service to older adults since 1975

The agency serves Floyd, Giles, Montgomery, and Pulaski counties, the City of Radford, and the towns of Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Pulaski in Virginia's Fourth Planning District

Programs offered include meals (congregate and home-delivered), medical transportation, homemaker services, legal assistance, family caregiver support, elder abuse prevention, and insurance counseling

The agency partners with regional organizations including the Virginia Tech Center for Gerontology, New River Community College, and various healthcare and aging-focused coalitions

The Clerk of the House of Delegates is directed to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to the agency
