James Wood High School girls' volleyball team won its fourth consecutive Virginia High School League Class 4 state championship on November 22, 2025, defeating Loudoun County High School 3–1

The team became the first in Frederick County history to win four consecutive state championships in any sport

The Colonels compiled a 108–8 record over the four championship seasons

The House of Delegates formally commends the team and directs the Clerk to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to the team
