Requires inpatient treatment facilities to disclose to school mental health professionals when a minor student poses a specific and immediate threat of serious bodily injury or death to identified persons at the time of discharge

Allows parents to opt in to disclosure when a facility determines their child requires additional educational services upon discharge from inpatient treatment

Disclosures must be made to a mental health professional employed by the student's school or school division

Prohibits facilities from delaying a minor student's discharge solely to make these disclosures to schools

Directs the Department of Education to create guidelines for proper use and safeguarding of disclosed student discharge information, with an effective date of January 1, 2027
