VA SB330

Requires circuit court clerks to allow the Virginia Criminal Sentencing Commission and the Department of Corrections to enter into single subscriber agreements for secure remote access to nonconfidential court records, including court orders, sentencing guidelines, and sentencing revocation reports.

Prohibits clerks from requiring individual subscriber agreements for each staff member; instead, agencies may use one agreement that identifies all staff needing access.

Authorizes probation and parole officers to access nonconfidential court records under these agreements to carry out their supervisory duties and prepare sentencing guidelines worksheets.

Requires clerks to provide hard copies via mail or electronic copies via email if secure remote access to requested nonconfidential records is not available.

Adds accessing court records to the enumerated powers and duties of probation and parole officers under § 53.1-145.
