Expands Line of Duty Act death benefit eligibility for retirees whose death is caused by cancers listed in § 65.2-402 to include those who die within seven years of retirement, in addition to the existing five-year window for other line-of-duty deaths

Maintains the $100,000 death benefit for beneficiaries of personnel killed in the line of duty on or after January 1, 2006, and $75,000 for deaths on or before December 31, 2005

Provides $75,000 death benefit (increased from $25,000 for deaths on or after January 1, 2025) to beneficiaries of retirees who die from qualifying causes within the specified timeframes

Applies to law-enforcement officers, firefighters, campus police at nonprofit private institutions of higher education, and private police officers covered under the Line of Duty Act
