Requires each school board to develop, implement, and publicly post a language access plan ensuring meaningful communication with limited English proficient (LEP) parents at no cost to them

Mandates translation of vital documents (enrollment forms, disciplinary notices, IEPs, codes of conduct) into the most commonly spoken languages among LEP parents in each division

Requires school boards to identify LEP parents at enrollment, determine their preferred language for communication, and maintain records of language needs

Obligates provision of oral interpretation and written translation services for all school communications, including meetings, notices, and electronic communications, prohibiting reliance on students or untrained staff as interpreters

Requires training for relevant school employees on LEP parent communication requirements and becomes effective July 1, 2027
