Grants sheriffs, deputy sheriffs, and law enforcement officers police powers and concurrent jurisdiction when their locality's courtroom is located within another county, city, or town's courthouse

Extends these powers to the courthouse property, surrounding areas, and travel to and from the courthouse while officers are performing official duties

Authorizes officers to enforce Commonwealth laws for offenses committed against them or for persons escaping their custody while at another locality's courthouse

Maintains existing requirements for sheriffs to designate deputies for courthouse security and forward designation lists to the Department of Criminal Justice Services

Preserves the existing authority for localities to assess up to $20 in court costs for criminal and traffic convictions to fund courthouse security personnel and equipment
