Allows the Department of State Police to sell a service handgun for $1 to the immediate survivor of any law-enforcement officer who had at least 10 years of service and died while receiving long-term disability payments

Requires approval from the Superintendent of State Police for such sales to survivors of officers who died on long-term disability

Amends existing Virginia law (§ 59.1-148.3) that already permits retiring officers and survivors of officers killed in the line of duty to purchase service weapons at reduced prices

Adds a new subsection (J) specifically addressing this category of survivors not previously covered under the statute
