Edward Phillip Hickman, Jr., co-owner of Dublin Farms in Horntown, Accomack County, died on January 23, 2024, and is honored by the Virginia General Assembly

Fourth-generation potato farmer who partnered with his brother David in 1973 to establish Dublin Farms, growing it into a world-class operation known throughout the eastern United States

Served 18 years on the State Seed Potato Board through multiple gubernatorial appointments, including five years as chair

Held leadership positions with the USDA Farm Service Agency Accomack Committee and Potatoes USA, where he served as both board member and board chair

Graduated from Virginia Tech in 1974 with a degree in agricultural economics and retired as president of Dublin Farms in September 2022
