Accumulated 726 career wins over his coaching career, ranking as the fifth winningest coach in Virginia high school basketball history, including state championships in 2003 and 2007 at Highland Springs High School

Coached for 37 years at Highland Springs High School (1979-2016), earning 549 wins along with multiple district and regional titles

Inducted into five halls of fame including the Virginia High School League Hall of Fame, with basketball courts named in his honor at Highland Springs High School and in Chase City
