Represented the United States at international and United Nations-sponsored forums as president and treasurer of an international organization

Served as a member of the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners in North Carolina during retirement

The General Assembly directs the Clerk of the Senate to present a copy of this resolution to his family, including his wife of 62 years, Judith Ann, and their three children
