Commends Kerrie Wilson, CEO of Cornerstones, upon her retirement in 2026 after 25 years of leadership at the Reston-based nonprofit organization

Cornerstones provides food, shelter, affordable housing, childcare, and human services, serving nearly 26,000 households annually in Northern Virginia

Under Wilson's leadership, the organization developed the FREE from Hunger Center in Sterling, a 10,000 square foot food warehouse serving Fairfax and Loudoun Counties

Wilson received the Virginia Legacy Award from the Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis in 2016 and the Non-Profit Leadership Award from Leadership Fairfax in 2018

She served as co-chair of Fairfax County's Affordable Housing Advisory Council and held positions with numerous regional organizations including the Reston Hospital Center Board of Trustees and the Meyer Foundation
