Flew multiple aircraft including the RF-4C, F-111F, F-15C/E, and F-117, and served as an instructor at the USAF Fighter Weapons School and commander of the 48th Operations Support Squadron

Flew combat missions in an F-117 during Operation Allied Force as commander of the 49th Operations Group and concluded his career as inspector general for USAF Europe at Ramstein Air Base in Germany

After retiring in 2006, served the Manassas community as president of the Manassas Men's Club, chair of the Manassas City Board of Elections, and member of the Manassas City Airport Commission

The Senate of Virginia directs the Clerk to prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to his family, including his wife of 50 years, Mary, and son Wesley
