Senate Resolution 133 celebrates the life of Brian Lindsay Fortna, a Reston community member who died on December 25, 2025

Fortna attended Buzz Aldrin Elementary School, Herndon Middle School, and Herndon High School, where he excelled as a multisport athlete in soccer, basketball, and cross country while maintaining National Honor Society membership

Earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where he was a member of Delta Sigma Pi professional business fraternity

Worked as a sales engineer at Level 3, Inc. for seven years in federal government sales, then joined cybersecurity firm Everfox continuing in federal government sales

The Clerk of the Senate is directed to prepare a copy of the resolution for presentation to Fortna's family as an expression of the Senate's respect
