Project PEACE (Partnering to End Abuse in the Community for Everyone) is commended for 20 years of addressing domestic and sexual violence in Arlington County through collaboration between public agencies, nonprofits, and community partners

The initiative provides 24-hour crisis advocacy, shelter and housing assistance, counseling, legal services, and hospital accompaniment, with specialized supports for minors, immigrants, people with disabilities, and LGBTQIA+ individuals

Over two decades, Project PEACE and its partners have supported tens of thousands of survivors through crisis response, advocacy, and prevention efforts

Partners include Arlington County departments (Human Services, Police, Sheriff, Fire), courts, Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, Arlington Public Schools, Doorways for Women and Families, and numerous other community organizations

The resolution directs the Clerk of the Senate to prepare a copy for presentation to Project PEACE recognizing its leadership in advancing safety and healing for survivors
