Establishes a voluntary program allowing persons experiencing mental health or other crises to temporarily store their firearms with participating federally licensed firearms dealers in Vermont

Participation is optional for dealers, who would receive training to exercise discretion when determining whether to return stored firearms

Provides criminal and civil immunity to participating dealers for harm resulting from acceptance, storage, return, or refusal to return firearms, provided they act in good faith

Grants immunity to persons relinquishing firearms for actions taken in good faith reliance on program rules, with confidentiality provisions to prevent stigmatization

Aims to reduce suicide rates in Vermont by decreasing firearm accessibility during moments of crisis
