Write-in candidates in primary elections must receive at least the same number of votes as the number of petition signatures required for that office to win, increased from the current threshold of one-half the signature requirement

Major political parties are prohibited from nominating a candidate for the general election if that party failed to nominate anyone during the primary election

Repeals the provision allowing major parties to file nomination statements within six days after a primary when they failed to nominate a candidate by primary
