Designates specific state parks, state forests, natural areas, and wildlife management areas as "State wildlands" permanently protected from conversion, where natural processes must prevail with minimal human interference

Prohibits vegetation management on wildlands including timber harvesting, pruning, herbicide application, salvage logging, and removal of diseased trees, as well as alteration of surface waters, groundwater, or wetlands

Exempts from wildlands restrictions: trail-based recreation, existing Class A and B roads, designated backcountry ski zones as of January 1, 2025, and hunting, fishing, foraging, and ceremonial practices

Requires Agency of Natural Resources to manage newly acquired parcels adjoining designated wildlands as wildlands unless public comment process determines it would be inconsistent with the chapter's purpose

Excludes from designation areas classified as "Intensive Management" in long-range management plans and areas where wildland management is precluded by deed or easement; effective July 1, 2025
