Vermont residents who are U.S. Armed Forces veterans with other than dishonorable discharge would receive a 50% reduction on registration fees for pleasure cars, motorcycles, motor-driven cycles, all-surface vehicles, exhibition vehicles, diesel-powered pleasure cars, snowmobiles, motorboats, and all-terrain vehicles

Veterans would also be entitled to one 100% registration fee waiver per calendar year for vehicles in the same categories, provided they are not already receiving the existing VA financial assistance exemption

Eligibility requires the veteran to be listed as owner or co-owner on registration forms and submit a copy of DD Form 214 with their application

Sports wagering revenues would be redirected to the Transportation Fund to offset the foregone vehicle registration fees from this program
