• Battery stewardship assessment deadline extended one year to July 1, 2027, with responsibility shifted from the Agency of Natural Resources to the battery stewardship organization to assess end-of-life management programs for hybrid/electric vehicle batteries, battery energy storage systems, and non-removable batteries.

• Household hazardous waste collection program deadlines extended one year, requiring stewardship organization registration by July 1, 2025, collection plan submission by July 1, 2026, and landfill disposal ban effective July 1, 2026; initial plans must reimburse municipalities based on calendar year 2024 services.

• Paint stewardship program expanded beyond architectural coatings to include aerosol coating products, coating-related products, and nonindustrial coatings, with new statutory consumer fees ranging from $0.65 to $2.45 based on container size.
