Prohibits the manufacture, transfer, sale, purchase, and import of gas-operated semiautomatic firearms, modified firearms operating as such, and parts combinations designed to create them in Vermont

Violations punishable by up to one year imprisonment, a fine up to $1,000, or both

Attorney General required to publish and annually update a list of prohibited gas-operated semiautomatic firearms by October 1, 2025, with owners/manufacturers able to appeal inclusion within 60 days

Exemptions include transfers to government agencies, certified law enforcement officers, U.S. Armed Forces/National Guard members acting in official duties, Atomic Energy Act licensees, and immediate family members

Licensed dealers may sell existing inventory until October 1, 2025; individuals who possessed firearms before the effective date may transport them back into Vermont after out-of-state travel
