The Vermont Crime Information Center must annually report arrest data from all law enforcement agencies, including use of force incidents by type, arrests categorized by legal basis, and search results, with demographic breakdowns.

The Department of State's Attorneys and Sheriffs must issue annual reports beginning January 31, 2026, detailing prosecution declinations with rationales, plea bargains to lesser charges, cases seeking maximum sentences, bail recommendations, and alternatives to incarceration sought.

The Department of Corrections must issue monthly reports beginning August 5, 2026, on inmate and detainee populations, including data on those held past minimum release dates, solitary confinement usage, and opioid use disorder screening and treatment.

The Department of Corrections must also issue annual reports on total incarceration numbers, the 12 most frequent charges, sentence lengths, supervision revocations, recidivism rates, and screening for disabilities, mental health conditions, and substance use disorders.
