Prohibits knowingly possessing firearms or dangerous weapons in State buildings and on State land under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Buildings and General Services

Violations punishable by up to 1 year imprisonment and/or $2,000 fine; violations with intent to commit a crime punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment and/or $10,000 fine

Exempts law enforcement officers, military personnel on duty, government employees authorized to carry weapons, and participants in State-conducted training or educational programs

Exempts lawful activities including hunting on State lands when properly licensed, sidewalks not distinguishable from public sidewalks, and properties leased to private tenants for exclusive use

Pocket knives with blades under 2.5 inches are excluded from the definition of dangerous weapons; effective date is July 1, 2026
