Conservation lands purchased with Vermont Housing and Conservation Board grant funds must include covenants allowing hunting, trapping, and fishing in accordance with state law without additional restrictions

Recreational trail systems on these lands must be maintained at or above existing levels of connectivity and trail length at the time of purchase

If a trail section must be removed for ecological reasons, it must be replaced with at least an equivalent length of trail and lost connectivity must be reestablished

Other existing recreational infrastructure must be maintained at minimum to levels existing at time of purchase, absent ecological imperative

Timber harvest must be allowed as an acceptable land management practice unless there is an ecological imperative to the contrary; effective date is July 1, 2025
