Commissioner of Forests, Parks and Recreation must develop a plan to reduce delayed timber harvests on State Forest lands

Report must include status summary of timber harvests, including number of harvests not completed by scheduled date and reasons for delays

Plan must address whether additional Department staff or contracts with licensed private foresters are needed to complete harvests

Report must estimate costs and benefits of reducing delayed harvests, including potential harvesting jobs created

Report to be submitted to House Committee on Agriculture, Food Resiliency, and Forestry and Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy
