General Assembly approves the Town of Charlotte's municipal charter, which voters adopted on March 4, 2025

Town of Charlotte continues as a municipal corporation with all powers granted to towns under Vermont Constitution, state law, and the charter, including authority to enact ordinances and impose penalties

Land use bylaws, amendments, or repeals must be approved by voters through Australian ballot at a special or regular town meeting warned for that purpose

All state statutes relating to municipalities continue to apply except where modified by the charter

Act takes effect upon passage
