Study must analyze proximity of preferred sites to existing energy distribution and transmission infrastructure

Report must assess whether developing preferred sites closer to existing infrastructure could accelerate creation of renewable energy facilities

Report due to the House Committee on Energy and Digital Infrastructure and Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy by January 15, 2027

Act takes effect upon passage
