Real estate brokers and salespersons must take reasonable measures to verify the identity of seller clients; failure to do so constitutes unprofessional conduct

Attorneys representing grantors must verify client identity and sign an affidavit attesting to verification, which must be included in documents submitted for recording; effective January 1, 2027
