Extends the $80,000 survivor benefit currently available to families of firefighters and emergency medical personnel to survivors of law enforcement officers who die in the line of duty or from occupation-related illness

Defines eligible law enforcement officers as those certified by the Vermont Criminal Justice Council and employed by a county or municipality

Adds the Chair of the Law Enforcement Advisory Board to the Emergency Personnel Survivors Benefit Review Board, replacing the Governor-appointed public member

Expands definitions of "child," "parent," and "spouse" to include foster children, stepparents, domestic partners, and civil union partners for benefit eligibility

Effective date: July 1, 2026; may be cited as "Jessica's Law"
