Prohibits the use and sale of the herbicide paraquat in Vermont, including chemicals known as "paraquat," "paraquat dichloride," and "paraquat bis(methylsulfate)"

Limited exemptions may be authorized only when no other less harmful pesticide would effectively address an environmental or agricultural emergency

Exemption orders are valid for up to one year and must specify the paraquat type, permitted uses, dates, duration, and geographic scope
