Repeals 23 V.S.A. § 518, which currently authorizes electronic issuance of temporary motor vehicle registration plates and registrations

Amends 23 V.S.A. § 511 to remove references to section 518 and section 458 from the list of statutes governing temporary and in-transit registration plate display requirements

Retains physical temporary plate requirements under sections 312, 463, 516, and 517, which must still be displayed horizontally on the rear of vehicles with legible numerals and letters

Effective date: July 1, 2026
