Municipal pollution abatement facilities must monitor their discharges for pesticides and pharmaceuticals as a condition of their discharge permits.

The Secretary shall annually publish by January 15 a list of the most commonly used pesticides and pharmaceuticals in Vermont from the preceding calendar year.

Facilities must monitor for the top 80 percent of pesticides and the top 80 percent of pharmaceuticals used in the state.

Amends 10 V.S.A. § 1263 governing discharge permits for wastewater facilities.

Effective date: July 1, 2026.
