Public servants must file travel disclosures with the Ethics Commission for any travel made in their official capacity or because of their status as a public servant

Required disclosure elements include: destination (including stopovers), declared purpose, whether travel was purely official or mixed with private purposes, and all associated costs for transportation, food, lodging, entertainment, and tickets

Disclosures must identify who paid for each element of travel—the State, the public servant personally, or third parties such as lobbyists, associations, political committees, or individuals

Filings are due within 30 calendar days of beginning travel, with weekly supplemental disclosures required if travel exceeds 30 days

Regular commuting to and from official workplaces is exempt from disclosure requirements; effective date is July 1, 2026
