House concurrent resolution honoring former Representative Curt McCormack of Burlington, who died of cancer on September 16, 2024 at age 72

McCormack served two separate tenures in the Vermont House: first from 1982-1995 representing Rutland City, then five terms starting in 2012 representing Burlington's downtown-Old North End district

Chaired the House environmental committee during his first tenure and led a national pioneering effort to limit chlorofluorocarbon use; later served as the "carless" House Transportation Committee Chair

Worked as Vermont Bicycle-Pedestrian Coordinator at the Agency of Transportation and was instrumental in extending the Ethan Allen Express Amtrak service to Burlington

General Assembly extends condolences to his family and directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to family members
