The General Assembly appropriated $50,000 in 1910 to construct the school building in Brattleboro; the Austine School for the Deaf opened in fall 1912 with 16 students

Alexander Graham Bell and Helen Keller spoke at the school's first commencement in 1914; the school operated until 2014

Directs the Secretary of State to send copies of the resolution to the immediate past chair of the Austine School for the Deaf Museum Board and the Vermont Historical Society
