Vermont General Assembly congratulates the winning teams at the 17th annual Jr Iron Chef VT competition held March 29, 2025, at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction

Competition sponsored by Vermont Afterschool has engaged more than 5,000 Vermont middle and high school students on 1,000 teams since 2008, promoting locally sourced meals and Vermont's Farm to School program

Lively Local winners: Camel's Hump Middle School (Space Girls), Twin Valley Middle School (Cauliflower Crusaders), and Champlain Valley Union High School (Chefhawks)

Mise en Place winners: Winooski Middle School (Winooski Wild Onions), Hunt Middle School (Eggsperts), and Lake Champlain Waldorf School (Steam Dream Team)

Crowd Pleaser winners: Boys & Girls Club of Burlington (Los Amigos), Vergennes Union Middle School (Jalapeno Hotties), and Champlain Valley Union High School (Spice Girls)
